Chinese New Year is one of our favorite family holidays. My husband has been celebrating it since he was born, but I’ve only really started celebrating this holiday for the past 11 years.
Now that we have kids, it’s fun to introduce them to our own family traditions and incorporate a few new ones. We’ve even spent Chinese New Year in Hawaii, which was a blast!
While we usually spend Chinese New Year with extended family doing a large dinner, this year we’re celebrating Chinese New Year at home.
So, I thought I’d pull together a few Chinese New Year party games, coloring pages, and other printables to keep my kids busy as we cook up some tasty Chinese food.
These are geared for classroom use or as Chinese New Year homeschooling resources.
You can print individual activities or download the entire Chinese New Year Activity Pack!
Be sure to check out my Chinese New Year crafts like this Chinese New Year lantern craft or this Chinese dragon craft!

The celebrations are all about ushering out the old year and bringing luck and prosperity to the new one. This is done through lion dancing, passing out lucky money, banging loud drums, cleaning the house, etc.
