This Chinese New Year kids craft requires a cardboard tube, yellow paint, gold ribbon, and red cardstock paper.
MATERIALS NEEDED
PAINT CARDBOARD TUBE
You'll need to do this first in order to let it fully dry. It might take a few coats.
CUT SLITS
CUT LONG STRIP
Cut one long strip of red cardstock that will be used as the handle for your Chinese lantern.
Wrap the cardstock around the cardboard tube so that the paper puckers out.
ATTACH CARDSTOCK
ATTACH GOLD RIBBON
Carefully wrap and blue the gold ribbon at the top of the paper lantern.
ATTACH HANDLE
Use the long strip of cardstock to create a handle for your Chinese paper lantern.
