Instant Pot Kalua Pork Recipe
Usually cooked in an underground oven in backyards, this kalua pig is cooked in an Instant Pot but keeps all the same flavors and incredibly delicious texture!

Ingredients
You'll need pork shoulder, vegetable oil, water, sea salt, liquid smoke, and cabbage.
Versatility
Serve this kalua pork over rice, in Hawaiian sliders, in tacos, inside quesadillas, on top of baked potatoes, or mixed in an omelet.
How to Make
Kalua Pork
Saute Pork Shoulder

Set the Instant Pot on the Saute setting. Add the pork shoulder and cook until browned on the outside.
Add Water and Seasoning

Pour the water, liquid smoke and salt and stir to combine. Cook for 35 minutes.
Shred Pork

Manually release steam and open the lid. With the help of two forks shred the pork. Add cabbage and steam.
Reheating
If you need to reheat, it's best to use a covered baking dish in the oven. Be sure to include all the juice so it stays moist.
