MACRAME RAINBOW

WALL HANGING

SUPER EASY MACRAME PROJECT FOR KIDS

– Paul Theroux

This simple macrame craft requires felt, yarn, rope, scissors, and glue.

MATERIALS NEEDED

CUT ROPE PIECES

Determine how many layers you'd like your rainbow to be and how big you'd like it. Then, cut enough rope pieces.

WRAP YARN

KEEP WRAPPING

Wrap the yarn for the length of the rope, leaving an inch on each side bare.

Cut off the yarn, leaving a few inches. Using a tapestry needle, tie off the end of the yarn.

TIE OFF

REPEAT FOR EACH COLOR

Do this same process for each piece of your rope to make your rainbow macrame wall hanging.

CUT FELT

Cut your piece of felt to make the backing of your rainbow macrame wall hanging.

Glue the layers of your rainbow onto the felt backing.

GLUE ROPE

REPEAT

Do this same process for every piece of rope. Then, fray the edges of the raw rope.
