Aloha! Whether you found me through the podcast, Instagram, or a late-night Google search for “how to plan Hawaii with kids,” I’m glad you’re here.

After 40+ trips to Hawaii and 20 years of hula dancing, I’ve figured out which resources actually make planning easier (and which ones are a waste of time). Everything on this page is something I genuinely use and recommend to my consultation clients.

Trusted Partners & Tools

Car Rentals

Discount Hawaii Car Rental
This is where I book rental cars for Hawaii. They compare rates across all the major companies (including Costco Travel rates) and consistently have the best prices I’ve found. Plus, you can cancel free up until pickup, which is huge when you’re planning months in advance.

Activities & Tours

Viator
My go-to for booking activities. Great selection, real reviews from families, and easy cancellation policies. I use this for everything from luaus to snorkel tours to helicopter rides.

GetYourGuide
Another solid option for activities and tours. Sometimes they have better availability than Viator, so I check both when booking popular experiences.

Hawaii Activities
A Hawaii-specific booking platform with a huge range of activities across all islands. They often have combo deals and packages that save you money on multiple activities.

Hawaii Tours
Specializes in multi-activity packages and island tours. Great if you want to book several things at once or prefer guided experiences over DIY exploring.

Travel Photography

Flytographer ($20 off with my link)
Professional photo shoots in Hawaii without the hassle of finding a local photographer. I’ve used them multiple times and love having real family photos instead of just iPhone selfies. Your kids will actually thank you for these someday.
