Step 1:
Select 2 different shades of the same color for the flower. Also, select white and yellow colored crepe paper for the center of the flower.
Trace the thin strip on the yellow paper and the wider strip on the white paper and cut them out. Trace the large petals on any one of the shades selected for the flower and trace the small petal shape on the other shade.
Cut out the traced patterns nicely. Cut thin fringes along either side of the strips.
Step 2:
Grab all five petals for the big flower and attach them together by forming a flower pattern. You might need to add petals one at a time. Similarly, form a flower pattern with the small petal cutouts.
Step 3:
Attach the small flower pattern in the middle of the big flower pattern.
Step 4:
Cut out a piece of floral wire (length as per your choice). Take the yellow fringed strip and coil it around any one of the open ends of the wire by keeping the fringed side of the strip facing outwards.
Step 5:
Now coil the white fringed strip around the yellow one. Make sure to coil the strips tightly. This is the flower center.
Step 6:
Insert the wire through the center hole of the luau tissue paper flower base.
Step 7:
Thread the flower all the way to the coiled strips. Apply glue to join the flower pattern with the center pattern.
Step 8:
Take the green flower tape and wrap the floral wire stem with it. Cover the whole wire with green floral tape, wrapping it all the way down.
Step 9:
And done! You can use green crepe paper to cut out leaves and attach them to the stem if you want to. A leaf would make these crepe paper streamer flowers so sweet, but they look beautiful without too.
