We hate throwing away party decorations, especially if we’ve only used it once or twice.
That’s why this glass bottle luau centerpiece ideas is so cool. They can be stored and used for all kinds of luaus or summer parties.
And, you can easily let friends or family borrow them for their own parties.
Because they don’t take up much table space, they can dress up even the smallest table or shelf. And you can change up the size depending on the type of bottle you use.
So, you can group them in sets of 3, with a large bottle, medium bottle, and small bottle if you want a statement luau centerpiece.
They look cute with a few flowers inside or they are totally cool just on their own.
For an extra tropical touch, place them on Monstera leaves and scatter a few shells or flowers to complete the look.
Or turn it into a DIY Hawaiian Christmas decoration by adding a paper poinsettia or origami poinsettia flower as the decoration.

Recycled Glass Bottle Luau Centerpiece
Hawaiian Luau Decoration Supplies:

- Empty glass bottle
- Twine rope
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Burlap lace
- Decorating items (shells, beads, flowers etc.)
How to Make a Recycled Glass Bottle Luau Centerpiece:
Step 1:

Clean the bottle before starting the craft. Grab the twine rope bundle and heat the hot glue gun.
You can start either from the bottom or the top side of the bottle to wrap it with twine rope. I’m starting from the top side.
Apply hot glue on the top open edge of the bottle and place the open end of the twine on the glue. The starting point of the twine wrapping is now secured.
Step 2:

Nicely and carefully wrap the twine around the bottle.
After 2 or 3 wrapping apply hot glue on the bottle’s outer surface and wrap the twine around the bottle, over the glue.
Step 3:

Continue to wrap towards the bottom side of the bottle until the whole bottle is covered with twine. Make sure to wrap the twine nice and evenly.
Step 4:

Once the twine wrapping reaches the bottom side of the bottle cut off extra twine from the bundle. Apply hot glue to secure the bottom open end of the twine on the bottle.
Step 5:

Cut out a piece of burlap lace (or any kind of lace you want.) The lace should be long enough to wrap the bottle once around the middle part of the bottle’s body. Collect some other items to decorate the bottle.
Step 6:

I’m going to attach the items (shells, flowers) on the burlap lace. Use hot glue to attach the items on the lace.
Step 7:

Now carefully wrap the burlap lace around the bottle. Use hot glue gun to attach the decorative lace around the bottle.
And there you have it! A super easy, yet totally impressive, Hawaiian craft that will add a tropical vibe to any summer party!
