How to Get The Lava Flow Effect

Lava Flow cocktails are made in two parts. First you’ll blend the frozen strawberries and both rums until smooth. Pour this mixture into serving glasses.

Next, rinse the blender clean. Then blend the pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and crushed ice until smooth.

Now, to get the lava flow effect, slowly pour the white mixture over the strawberry mixture in each glass and watch the colors flow.

Keeping it Cold

To make ahead of time: refrigerate each component after blending to keep them really cold before you assemble the drinks.

However, don’t make this cocktail too far ahead because the icy components in step two will melt and you will not get the lava flow effect.
