Planning an Oahu Trip? This Podcast Playlist Covers Everything (Seriously, Everything)

So you’re going to Oahu. Excellent choice. It’s got incredible beaches, amazing food, Pearl Harbor, the North Shore, and yes, even Waikiki is worth your time (I promise, we’ll get to that).

But here’s what happens next. You start researching and you realize Oahu is way bigger than you thought.

Waikiki and the North Shore are an hour apart.

Pearl Harbor requires advance reservations.

Someone told you to skip Waikiki entirely, but half the hotels are there.

You’re pretty sure you need a luau but there are 47 options and the reviews are all over the place.

And don’t even get me started on trying to figure out if you can realistically do the North Shore, Kailua, and Pearl Harbor all in one day (you can’t, by the way, but we’ll talk about that).

This is where most people either give up and just book a resort in Waikiki with no real plan, or they try to cram every single Oahu attraction into a five-day trip and come home exhausted.

I’ve done both. Neither was great.

So I created this Oahu podcast series to walk you through exactly how to plan your trip without the overwhelm.

These episodes cover where to stay (and why location matters way more than you think), what’s actually worth doing, which luaus are legit versus which ones are tourist traps, how to plan realistic day trips, and what to know about Waikiki before you write it off completely.

You can listen to the whole series straight through, or jump to specific episodes based on what you’re stuck on right now.

Either way, by the end of this, you’ll have a real plan for Oahu instead of just a Google Doc full of links you’ll never click.

Total listening time: About 2 hours (perfect for your commute this week, or while you’re packing)

Best for: First-time Oahu visitors, families trying to fit everything in, anyone who keeps second-guessing their hotel location

Start here if: You’ve booked your Oahu trip but have no idea what to actually do, or you’re stuck trying to decide between staying in Waikiki vs. somewhere else
